He soon gets into a fight with another cat who, when introduced to him, is Graypaw. He starts to stalk a mouse, but he doesn’t get the mouse because of some rustling in the bushes. He then goes outside to look at the forest beyond his backyard. When he wakes up, he eats some food, but it turns out that he doesn’t enjoy it. The beginning of the book starts off in one of Rusty’s dreams.

I like the prologue because it takes place in the midst of battle, and some strange things that we don’t know also happened in the battle. I like Ravenpaw very much, but also feel fear for him because he knows a very dark secret. Ravenpaw is also a loyal cat because he always obeys orders. He also is very secretive because Fireheart knows that Ravenpaw knows something about something. Ravenpaw is a cat who is scared and mainly scared of Tigerclaw. I don’t like Tigerclaw at all because of the way that he treats Fireheart and Ravenpaw. There is also something very suspicious about Tigerclaw because of the way that Ravenpaw acts. Tigerclaw is a warrior who is forcible to Ravenpaw, and he doesn’t appeal to Fireheart. I like Bluestar mostly because she is wise and thinks about her decisions. Bluestar is the leader of ThunderClan who at times can be rough, but at other times, can be kind. I like this because even though Rusty passed clan boundries, Graypaw is kind to him. Graypaw is a kind and curious cat who likes Rusty even though he’s a house cat. I also like this about Rusty because he was born a house cat. He also can do what a clan cat could do by instinct. This is what I like about Rusty because he’s a very curious character. Rusty is a house cat who wants to venture beyond his backyard, so he’s a very curious cat who wants to live in the forest. The main characters are Firepaw (Rusty), Graypaw, Bluestar, Tigerclaw, and Ravenpaw.

The wild cats would also refer to things differently from humans. It takes place in the present, which I like because it’s easier to understand the words that they use like the word “kittypet.” I enjoy the way that they speak because their wild cats, so they refer to house cats as “kittypets.” The book includes personification, but only the people and cats can be understood.
